Conejo Creek
Pedestrian Bridge |

| Details: | The Conejo Open
Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) has prepared a draft Mitigated Negative
Declaration (MND) for the Conejo Creek Pedestrian Bridge to allow the
construction of a pedestrian bridge across Conejo Creek. The purpose of
the bridge is to provide trail access for hikers, bicyclists and
equestrians and to keep trail users off the paved portion of Hill Canyon
Road. The proposed bridge is located in the northwest quadrant of the City
of Thousand Oaks, on the west side of Hill Canyon Road, approximately
3,200 feet south of Santa Rosa Road.
The public comment period for this draft MND is August 6 - 26. Comments should be submitted in writing to Rick Burgess, Community Development Department, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362-2903. |

| Details: | The first meeting of COSCA's new Accessibility Working Group is scheduled for Wednesday, August 18 at 6:30 pm in the Park Room on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd 91362. All interested community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The group will meet quarterly, or as otherwise necessary, to review and suggest accessibility enhancements to COSCA trails. |

Final Conejo Canyons Management Plan and Mitigated Negative Declaration |

The Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) has finalized the Conejo Canyons Open Space Management Plan. The purpose of the Management Plan is to provide a comprehensive guide for the long-term management of the Conejo Canyons’ unique natural, cultural and scenic resources while providing for compatible passive multi-use, trail-based recreational activities. |
