Details: All other trails are open.  Trail users, please stay on trails.  Please stay off the burn areas, they are fragile and dangerous.  It is critical that burned areas remain undisturbed.  Thank you!

2013 Conejo Open Space Post-Challenge Party

Details:

Come celebrate completion of the 2013 Conejo Open Space Challenge with fellow participants.  Raffle prizes will be given for completion of the challenge and prizes will be presented to photography contest winners.

COSCA Strategic Plan: 2nd Public Workshop

Details:

The Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency will host a public workshop to review the draft strategic plan for the open space and trail system of the Conejo Valley. The public is invited to provide their comments on the draft document.

Spring Trail Work Day

Hill Canyon/Western Plateau area:   From Moorpark Road, drive west on Santa Rosa Road for 3.7 miles. Turn left (south) on Hill Canyon Road for about ˝ mile to the parking lot on the right.

The public was invited to review the Draft Mission, Vision & Guiding Principles for the COSCA Strategic Plan. This document was developed based on information gathered through stakeholder interviews, a public workshop and opinion surveys. The document will be presented at the March 14th COSCA Board of Directors meeting. Conejo Canyons Bridge Opening Celebration

Conejo Canyons Bridge, Hill Canyon Road (1/2 mile south of intersection of Santa Rosa Road)

Details:

Please join COSCA, the City of Thousand Oaks, the Conejo Recreation and Park District, and the Conejo Open Space Foundation as we celebrate the completion of COSCA's new trail bridge in Hill Canyon! The Conejo Canyons Bridge provides the long-awaited "missing link" between the trails in Wildwood Park and the Conejo Canyons Open Space.

The Opening Ceremony will be held at the new bridge at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 11th, followed by a BBQ lunch. We also welcome any interested hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians to join us at 9:30 am for a fun and easy 1-hour hike/bike ride/horseback ride across the bridge and along the Hill Canyon Trail. All ages are welcome!

Final Conejo Canyons Management Plan

Details:

The Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) has finalized the Conejo Canyons Open Space Management Plan.  The purpose of the Management Plan is to provide a comprehensive guide for the long-term management of the Conejo Canyons’ unique natural, cultural and scenic resources while providing for compatible passive multi-use, trail-based recreational activities.
